November 23, 2014

Yeah pretty cool right? Um I'm not sure. It all depends on the week. This week we had like 3 to 3 different people. Like sit down lessons. Our progressing investigator was super sick so we couldn't meet him all week. That was super sad. But it's okay. Haha i'm glad you liked those videos. Those pics of the funeral were so sad. Jeez. That's like the saddest thing ever. Good thing that we have the good ol' plan of salvation right? Okay so I have to tell you guys something. We had transfer calls yesterday morning and one of the 봉천 Bongchun elders got transfered to the office so he had to leave that day. So! Yesterday I came here and am now sort of companions with Elder Morgan until Wednesday. So that's suepr funny that you met his mom haha. love that. How was meeting Elder Dayley's mom? Super fun? Haha i'm excited for that package! I got your package this week! The beatles shirt was super cool! I'm a big fan! haha thanks for that. The slippers also came in handy. My feet were nice and toasty. :) haha alright so this week was pretty decent!

MOnday was fun. After email we decided to go to 강남 gangnam. SO that was super super fun. IT's only like a 15 minute subway ride from our area. Super super close so we wanted to go before transfers. anyway, we went to taco bell for lunch which was delicious and then we went and took pics by the gangnam style sign. That was way fun and super cool. That are is mind blowing. We then went to the nicest nike store ever. That was crazy. It was 3 floors, the bottom floor was a basketball court, the middle one was dedicated to running and had 2 treadmills for you to try your running shoes out on before you buy them and the top one was for soccer. it had a press thing so that when you buy your jersey you can customize it right there. The technology was also crazy. They had a box that was just glass or something and a shoe inside and it was like tv on the glass. it was super cool. hard to explain. but yeah. Elder Dayley bought a korean team soccer jersey there, its super nice. Also, super expensive. haha but oh well. Worth it. He got his name and number on it. so way cool. then we went home and relaxed for a little, then we had a lesson with a new investigator named Louis. he's a cool guy. He lived in brazil for 23 years. kinda weird but pretty cool. just wants to study english but we made sure he knew why we were here and was impressed by that. So yeah!

Tuesday was okay. We had 3 appointments but they all cancelled. so itw as okay. We had our studies and lunch and then we fixed our water heater finally. Our showers haven't been like cold but they haven't been warm either haha super annoying but i finally fixed it. :) heck yeah. THen we went out and walked around to a cool area and talked to a nice old man and yeah! He was cool. then we went to the han river and took some pics and thne we came home and had dinner. then elder dayley decided that we needed to work on our records cuz we have like 50,000 haha so we organized them a lot better and organized our records for the rest of the day.

Wednesday was super good we had our studies and then we had district meeting. That was super super good. wow. we talked all about jesus the whole time which was awesome. We watched special witnesses of christ! So good. If you haven't seen it, i highly recommend it. It was filmed in 2000 and is the apostles bearing their testimonies on christ. super powerful. BUt yeah we watched that and it was way good. and then we like shared our testimonies about christ and just the church in general. wow it was powerful. Super good. The scripture i shared was alma 32:27 which says  "But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words." Anyway, the reason being that i feel like often i am at the point of desiring to believe. but i work through it and its okay. :) So hey. yeah there's a little piece of me for ya. after taht we came home and had dinner then got ready for english class and had english class! That was aweosme! It was super fun! But not too much happened. after that we came home and called people.

Thursday was pretty warm! So that was awesome. we got up and had our studies which were good. then we had lunch and made some phonecalls and then we left and went to the park. There are tons of old people there all the time just like dancin with each other. it's adorable. anyway, that was suepr fun. haha we talked to some people there and yeah. then we came home and had dinner at a place near our house. chinese food. super good! The guy there loves us so he gives us some free stuff when we go in. Nothin too big but like apples and stuff. super nice. love him. anyway, after taht we went to find a bunch of less actives but couldn't find anyone. then we went to meet a member for a practice lesson which went super good! I realized what i need to do when i teach cuz he was actually honest not like all of the other members who are like oh you guys did great. but yeah so it was uper helpful. after that we came home!

Friday was good! We got up and had personal and companion study then we had to go to the mission home for evaluations. it's like 45 minutes from us by subway. so not too far. we were able to meet the new office couple, cuz the old one is going home soon. and also talk to president and sister morrise. so we had evaluations with elder thompson the current AP. if you remember Elder nemelka from when i was serving in hwagok he is now the ap. haha super crazy. i can't believe that. i totally called it too. anyway, we taught elder thompson about baptism, the restoration and yeah! It went good! We had like 2 minutes to prepare. elder dayley did a really good job. i love that guy. he's the cutest. haha mom you need to tell me more about meeting his mom. all you did was send the picture. anyway, after taht wae came home and had lunch and some ghetto buffet place and then we had weekly planning and then we went to 허병석 ho byungsuck's house for our weekly coordination meeting. we had dinner with him then with our new ward mission leader park soonchor. that was super fun. he has tons of great ideas. we'll see what happnes. but yeah that was our day.

Saturday was pretty good. we got up and went straight to the church to play soccer. that was super fun. elder dayley wore his nice new korea jersey. there were like 20 people there. so for playing at the church it was pretty small but it 3was okay. :) haha so we played soccer and that took a while then we had some kimbap which is like korean sushi sort of. some of you might know what it is. but yeah. anyway, then we went home got ready for the day then went to the church to meet 강진오 kang jeenoh. he's a new investigator who was a referall from a member a while ago. he is super cool. we basically did how to begin teaching with him, which basically means we told him why we are here and what he can expect from meeting us. he seems pretty good. like he wants to know if god exists and to get over a few habits that he has that he really enjoys haha so we'll see if we can help him with that. so we taught him and thenwe went to meet a japanese guy who wants to learn english. that was interesting. he was super nice. his name is kenzie. we met him and did the same thing with him but he wants the missionaries to visit his house and since he lives across the river we wont' be able to do that. so we had to refer him to the seoul mission. :( but yeah. then we came home and had our studies and had dinner and went out to find less actives sbut that's cool. and then we came home!

Yesterday we woke up and got our transfer calls! I am going to be companions with Elder Smith who was in Elder Dayley's district at the MTC and also, he is elder warnicks child. Elder Warnick if you remember him was my first commpanion in hwagok. should be super fun. i'm super excited. elder dayley is going to suwon a place called 곡반정 gokbanjung. should be pretty awesome. i like that area a lot. he's going to like it. but yeah. that was that stress. anyway, then the rest of the day was crazy. we had personal study and then we went to church which was fine. suepr fun. i love church. elder dayley and elder dent are elaving so they gave goodbye talks. that was cool. and our recent convert was there so that was awesome. but yeah after church i got the call telling me to get down there before 5 o clock. so that was stress. and then the bishops wife invited us over for lunch and thatw as beyond delicious but took up a lot of time. so then after we had lunch over there we ran home and i packed my stuff for 3 days until wednesday and then i came down to 봉천 bongchun! haha it's been a crazy 24 hours. after i got here elder johnson had to finish packing and then we went and met a guy named 김정훈. he was baptized saturday but is already back to his habit of smoking and drinking. so that's not good. haha he was baptized in seoul mission somewhere and the bongchun elders found him. super crazy. he told us about how unhappy and miserable his life was. it was super sad. man we are spoiled in america. ah anyway, i don't wanna talk about sad things. so yeah! After that we came home and called it a day! that was our week! Pretty great right?! Haha it was fun. I'm sad that elder dayley is already gone from me...but its okay. we'll see each other on wednesday. i'm excited for this next transfer with elder smith. should be great. he's from arizona i think? I can't remember. i've talked to him a few times. we're gonna have fun. :) alrighty you guys have a great week! I love you!!!

love,
elder breinholt
